The CKI Conference 2015: Designing Berlin's Digital Infrastructures

Becoming a digital capital, Berlin has established itself as a testing and reference site for urban technologies. On this path, close collaboration between academia, industry and administration is of utmost importance to "Design Berlin's Digital Infrastructures". Hereto, the CKI brought once again decision-makers and experts from industry & university as well as students and young researchers together, organizing the CKI Conference on 14.12.2015 at TU Berlin.

The Keynotes on "Digitalization of Cities", were held by Dr. Roland Busch, Member of the Managing Board at Siemens, and Professor Christian Thomsen, the President of TU Berlin. On the conference the 4 winners of the CKI Idea Contest had the chance to pitch their concepts to the audience, gaining contact to potential partners.

After a short break, presentations by TU Professors and Siemens Experts provided our guests with an exclusive insight into cutting-edge research in the fields of Integrated Energy Networks, Data-driven Traffic Management and Smart Buildings.

As an innovation our Breakout Session allowed our guests to visit one of four innovation sites on the TU campus, interrupting the conference rhythm in order to open the focus of the guests. The program was accompanied by coffee, lunch and ice cream breaks giving our guests numerous opportunities to build personal connections for future partnerships.

We invite you to have a look on the photos of the conference and the uploaded presentation slides.
